how can I start drawing in my 20s?

I've always wanted to learn drawing but it never happened. I don't know where to start can someone help me with this?

If you need inspiration than check out ZHC the YouTubed he's in his 20s and has been drawing for 4 years his progression is insane tho so don't shoot for his level initially.

The best practice is to just start drawing. But I cant strress enough the importance of using a reference model/image. You should be looking at your reference at least as much as you are looking at your artwork. Even if you aren't going for realism it's important to observe how things like lighting and perspective work. Artist who draw from memory can only do that because they've already studied multiple references.

I, personally, would not recommend any sort of beginner drawing curriculum that includes figure drawing right out of the gate and anatomy in the first 6 months.

You might want to check out the starter pack thread, which has lots of resources for beginners.

Start with drawing what you like.

At this stage, the most important part to consider is your enjoyment.

Also its a good idea to draw everyday for atleast 15 minutes or so, doesn't really matter what you draw so long as you're drawing and having fun.

Draw a picture every day. Doesn't have to be good or complete or fancy or anything but by drawing every day you begin to gain practice and paitence for the doodles. The longer you do this more you'll find you'll want to spend more time on your drawings !
